How to play Chuck-a-Luck - The Basics
Chuck-a-Luck originated in the Wild West and was probably based on Sic Bo (Chinese craps).
What is the objective of the game?
Like Sic Bo, Chuck-a-Luck uses three dice. Players predict what will show face-up on the three dice after they have been tumbled.
There are four different ways of making bets and these are:
- 'Any number', When one die shows the value bet, the player wins even money (1-to-1). Two of the dice showing the number bet would mean that the player is paid double his bet (2-to-1) and when all three of the dice show the number bet, it would mean that the player wins triple his bet (3-to1). All bets placed on numbers not shown on the displayed dice are considered lost.
- 'Field‘. A 'field' bet is betting that all dice will add up to one of the numbers featured on the field.
- 'Over 10' (dice total is over ten).
- 'Under 11'. (dice total is under 11).
